blood work update

ok well the blood work all came out ok, although i did have higher levels of insulin then my doctor would have liked. had i not tested positive to be pregnant she would have put me on some sort of medication, but that will not happen now. The high insulin is a symptom of PCOS so she said we will revisit all of this when and if we need to in the future.

i also asked he to give me a blood est to verify the pregnancy, so i got that but no results yet.

1st appointment

well i scheduled my first prenatal appointment for feb 12th. i will have a ultrasound to verify the pregnancy and then meet with the nurse practitioner or midwife(can't remember which they said, but her name is bridgett). i wanted to see my doctor but she did not have any openings, and that was the only day brandon had off. so i figure it will be fine since i see Dr. jones on friday still to go over my previous blood work, so i can talk with her then.

so i got nervous today and told brandon to bring home another pregnancy test. 2 isn't bad, i know some people who take 5!!!!!!!!!

Shhhh....it's a secret!

wow, what a roller coaster of a month. i have had some major ups and downs. from an inconclusive doctor's appointment with blood tests to follow...to...a positive on a home pregnancy test this morning!!!! oh yes you read that right it was a positive :) i already have an appointment scheduled for friday for my test results so i am going to keep that and tell her about the test. i am so excited...brandon's response was "your pregnant...Oh shit!" i went to his work to tell him, i couldn't wait till tonight. i told him i had a present for him and gave him the pee stick!!! ( in a baggie of course!) a random weird thing is that brandon had to pick vacation weeks awhile back for this year, he had already picked the week of Sept. 29 to have off. Oh ya that would be the due date! that is just strange!

i went shopping with Kelsey this morning and it took every ounce of my soul not to tell her. Sorry Kels.

we are not going to tell anyone else until we know for sure things are good to go. i guess i am 5 weeks along already, so we should be out of the clear by the end of March. i am just hoping it all goes well, that it is true and that the baby will be healthy. i will have more info i guess after Friday's appointment.
