mother's day!!!

ok i know it was awhile ago (may 9th) but i had a very nice first mother's day. here is a picture of me and kinsley!! we went to tonia's family gathering and spent the day with her family. it was very nice and lots of good food!!!!

brandon got me a frame and put kinsley's foot prints on it in a heart shape. it was so creative and i loved it!!!!!!!!!! he also got me a day at the spa with tonia and he is going to watch all the children!!! hopefully we find him alive when we get back!

8 months

8 MONTHS!!!!!!

sleepy and crying after long day!


sooo... cute, soooo...tired!


kinsley is eight months today!!!!! i only got a few pics at bedtime and she is a crying mess. i think she is teething but she has had a fever and runny nose the past couple days. we also had a long weekend in toledo and she is pooped tonight so i will have to take a few 8 month and 1 day pics that hopefully will be better!!!


she is still eating like a champ...she loves it. she has added carrots and veggie puffs (like really soft cereal) we are working on starting a few more things too, soon she will just be eating everything!!!! crazy to think!


she is talking up a storm, no real words yet but she babbles on and on on the car. "ah ba" is the favourite. she also gurgles and brandon calls her his little chewbaca!!!!!! we think she may be attempting a wave. at times she seems to wave her whole arm in response to hi or bye.??? who knows!


she is rolling all over the place to get what she wants. she wiggle worms around too, moving her legs like crazy but she can't figure out how to get them under her to crawl. she seems to only roll to the right, never to the left...maybe already right handed???


all in all she is becoming such a big girl, i feel like she will have more teeth soon and maybe even be crawling...yikes! although since i said it we all know it won't happen!!!!!

ok here's an update on Kinsley and food...SHE LOVES IT!!!!!!!!
so far she has had avocado, sweet potatoes, pears, apple sauce, prunes, and peas. and she has loved it all. we will be doing asparagus, banana, and maybe carrots soon. the only food we purchased prepared on baby food style was the prunes. i was not about to steam and smash prunes!!!! everything else has been just the regular food you would eat, canned peas, real sweet potato baked in the oven, slices of pears (hard to hold on to but she has figured it out!), kroger apple sauce, and i just scope the avocado out.

we have had a little constipation issue, (that is why the prunes were tried!) but i think it is just her body regulating to the food. not too big of a deal, she is not is pain 24/7 or anything just pushing hard to get the poop out. ( i know you all wanted to know about her poop!!)

i will post pics soon of her eating, although you have to see it live to really appreciate it. she hoovers the food in. she likes breakfast and dinner best and tends to eat a smaller lunch. she is still breast feeding also of course, that is still her main source of nutrients.

i just got done putting kinsley to bed and i read her a book with flaps for the first time since she has been actually paying attention to books. it was hilarious she would squeal and laugh out loud every time i would flip one of the flaps open. i read it to her a second time and she was laughing like crazy before i could even open the flap. it was so funny i started laughing too. i hope she does it again for brandon to see and maybe we will get it on tape!

2 teeth and FOOD!

two days after tooth number one popped up tooth number two came!!! so now we have a two tooth wonder!!!! i will try to get a good picture when they get bigger, they are the bottom middle.

as for food we just started yesterday giving kinsley food. we started with avocado, no reason just on the list i got from a book. although it is pretty cool cause all i have to do is scoop it out of the skin and it is ready to eat. we are not using traditional baby food in a jar, just never something i was very fond of. i will just be giving her soft food at first to figure out on her own and then moving along as she gets older. i have some pictures i will post ion the next couple days, but basically i just put a pile of avocado on her tray and she scooped it with her fingers, she also really liked the big spoon i used so i let her have it it lick avocado off of.

overall i think i read her ready signs right, she seems very interested and excited when i give her the food. she has gagged a few times but i think she is just getting used to the texture and the fact that she can actually swallow it! we will be moving to the next food after 4 days of avocado. doctors recommend 4 days in case of a reaction then you know what food it was that caused it. after we get a few foods going i will probably not wait 4 days but to start out i am going to. i think the next food will be banana or apple sauce we will see.
