ADLEY JANE...it's a girl!

yes we had the baby!! at 40 weeks and 5 days, we finally had Adley Jane on 5-20-11. she was 9 lbs 1 oz. (exact same as kinsley), 20 inches and was born at 5:06 (kinsley was at 3:06...weird!)

i need to get the pics on the computer and then will do a post with those.

Labor was 18 hours it started at home around 11:00 pm. finally called midwife at 3:30 am, and my water broke at about 5 am sending us to the hospital. i did pretty well there till my back pain got very intense and i was having shooting pains down my legs. i decided to get the epidural, not an easy decision, i was disappointed but after another 13 ours of labor i know i made the right choice. it only took about 6-7 push cycles to get her out, but her cord was around her neck and she was blue. i did not like that at all, but she was fine and cried as soon as they took the cord off. brandon still got to catch her and giver her to me but the quickly cut the cord and took her just to check, but she was fine. her apger test was a 7 and then a 9.

over all it went well!

breastfeeding is already a challenge again, however i knew this time it was wrong and did not wait for help. we are doing pumping and feedings for now depending on pain level. i have to use the shield again, but that is ok with me. in the hospital i thought it wasn't going to work at all and had a very rough night trying to decide what to do. adley did get some formula in the hospital, it was middle of the night with no LC to help and there was no way she could go back on me. i thought i would be fine with it but i was not, it really bothered me, and i felt like i gave kinsley such a good try and made it thur, so i owe that to adley too. it is a very emotional ride, but i think we are on the up swing now and things should be ok.

we are home and settling in. kinsley loves adley but isn't so good at boundaries and can be a bit rough. she seems more jealous about daddy then anything but she is getting better. i am sure in the long run it will be fine but we will have a bumpy ride!!
