also forgot to tell you all that kinsleys MRI came back normal. that is a good thing, doesn't mean there was no stroke for sure but there could be good regrowth in that area so they can't see anything. we go for one more appt in dec. kinda of still frustrating to have no answers but oh well. thursday is her follow up swallow study, that should be an interesting one!

neurologist
awhile ago we went to the pediatric neurologist for kinsley. brandon really wanted to get to the bottom of her left side issue and just have an answer. i was fine either way. so we went! in the first minute in the room he asked what took us so long to come see him, which was nice that he right away validated our long time concerns. i told him honestly brandon had wanted to come along time ago, but i wasn't interested, to me a diagnosis doesn't help me, it is just a word.
so after a long appointment where he asked a ton of questions and played with kinsley he told us that he feels she had a stroke when i was pregnant. nothing to do with labor or birth or anything i did at all, just a fluke. he has no way of telling why it happened, but since no monitors ever went off during labor it had to have been before hand. he recommended a MRI to verify, but told us she has caught up nicely, we did all we could do and to continue with it. the MRI will just prove the theory i guess. he seems pretty confident he will see something. so she will have that done on july 7. she is not allowed to eat for 6 hrs before hand so that day will suck!!!
the dr also said that this could definitely be the reason for the breastfeeding issues, swallowing, choking...basically every issue we have had with her.
